This is a website dedicated to the memory & courage of an amazing young girl and to the continued strength and inspiration of her family. Also I hope that the site will raise awareness of neuroblastoma which is a fairly rare but particularly serious and nasty form of childhood cancer that attacks the nervous system.

Christine Shayna Thomas “Christi”, the beloved and cherished daughter of Shayne and Angela Thomas and dearest big sister and best friend of Shayla died on September 19, 2006 at the tender age of 9. For four years Christi battled Neuroblastoma. She bravely fought with the strength of a soldier while maintaining the grace and beauty of a ballerina - teaching life’s lessons along the way.

She will forever live on in the hearts and minds of thousands around the world who knew her both in person and through her website which recorded her incredible journey.

All throughout her illness Christi worked tirelessly to support and raise awareness of neuroblastoma and this work continues after her death using an experimental cell line taken from Christi's body. Given that only 1 in 20 of these succeeds it's testament to this amazing girl that hers is that one!

I think that a quote from Christi's mum Angela perfectly sums up our feelings for Christi : "Without a doubt, she knows she’s loved! Without a doubt, she gave one hell of a fight!"
